About Jared

I currently teach 7th grade English. I have experience as both a tutor for high school and college level in multiple subjects such as English, AP psychology, and health. I have worked as a substitute teacher since April; although I do not have a comprehensive knowledge in each subject, I have taught/facilitated work in multiple subjects at a middle/high school level such as English, math, art, science, health, civics, geography, social science, history, etc. I have also provided academic coaching as a tutor, helping with study strategies, time management, goal setting, understanding assignments, and task management such as prioritization and scheduling when a student feels stressed, checked out, or overwhelmed. I like to see young students gain lasting perspective and skills, and feel encouraged as increasingly competent learners.
