We were new to Care.com and found and angel to help care for my mom. As a former bedside nurse Jan knew exactly how to handle my disabled moms care. Jan was patient and kind when my mom did not want to participate in her shower or other activities. Jan always found a way to make her feel comfortable, as my mom was reluctant at seeking help at first. As my moms conditioned worsened Jan was able to use her nursing skills to help educate us on what was happening and willingly took extra time with my mom to make her feel at ease. We were so happy with my moms care we hired her to help with my mother in law who was more able bodied but needed support with medicine distribution, personal hygiene and companionship. I would not hesitate to recommend her to friends and family and would willingly speak with anyone considering Jan as a care giver to discuss any questions you may have regarding what our families needs were and how they were met as well as changed over time.
