Hello all! My name is Izzy and I am a preschool teacher during the year, but soon to be going on summer layoff period. I am 25, was born in VT and returned to Vermont in 2021 after earning my degree from Montana State University in Human Development and Family Science. I am currently in the process of applying to Graduate School for Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a specialization in Children, Youth and Families. My time as a preschool teacher has greatly influenced this choice in degree, and I am excited to explore this realm of study and further my passion for kids and families. With my free time, I love hiking, swimming, yoga, going to live music, and experiencing all VT has to offer. I am located in Essex Junction, but willing to travel up to ~10 miles. Izzy is a very responsible, caring, respectful, punctual and devoted professional who works extraordinarily well with all ages of children. I have known Izzy since 2007, when I was her swim coach. I continued to coach Izzy in swimming for years until she applied to work as a swim instructor with us at the E. Junction Recreation and Parks. Izzy listens well to instructions, carries out the agreed to plans, multi tasks, problem solves and always achieves results. (For swim lessons.) The children always ask for Izzy as their swim instructor when they return to lessons because her nature is predictable, enjoyable and she knows how to draw children out with ease.
