I am a nanny, teacher, student, hiker, traveler, musician, proud aunt, wanna-be visual artist, avid reader, and yogi. I grew up on Long Island, and was a goofy kid who loved books and spending time outdoors. From 2010 to 2022, I taught music in the public schools in VT (all ages). During the 22-23 school year, I traveled abroad and had some amazing experiences such as: walking the Camino de Santiago; taking a Spanish course; volunteering in Ireland; trekking in Nepal and completing Yoga Teacher Training; living with a host family in Mexico. Since Fall '23, I have been living in the UK, pursuing an MA degree, and working as a nanny for a family in Cambridge, which has been a truly wonderful experience! As I return to VT in January, I am eager to find a new family to work with, to help parents care for their children and have fun along the way!

A family would find themselves lucky to have Cathie as a childcare provider. Throughout our time working together Cathie has continually proved herself to be extremely reliable. I trust her in my home, and more importantly with the safety of my children. She always brought a smile into the house and actively plays with my children (1 boy, 1 girl). She brings her love of music and the outdoors into her childcare approach and, when needed, holds boundaries with the children with kindness. Her experience as a teacher for 10+ years is also apparent when watching her work with kids. I recommend her as highly as possible.
