About Ida

I am an experienced after school and evening sitter. I offer creatively engaging and diligent child care for 1-2 children aged 5 and up. My service typically includes portaging to and from school and activities, preparing meals, overseeing the completion of homework assignments, as well as facilitating art and baking projects. I am seeking a part time, long term opportunity with the right family, which could expand into more hours as needed. I am a musician based in Harlem, from Upstate New York. I attended Bard College in high school before moving to the city to study acting at Stella Adler Studio of Acting, before dropping out to pursue a career in music. I was homeschooled using a curriculum that encouraged engagement in and learning of subjects through activities and hobbies that intrigued me. As a sitter, I observe topics and activities that intrigue the child during our time together, and then set out to facilitate projects or discussions that expand on them.
