About Holly

I have provided care for children in multiple different settings. I started by providing swim lessons for children of all ages (0-17) as a Water Safety Instructor. I learned how to interact with children in a fun, yet constructive manner. I provided lessons for 7 years and even coached a few different swim teams at the high school level. This opportunity of coaching lead me to become a camp counselor. I have experience with driving and taking public transportation with groups of children throughout San Francisco and boarding cities. Shortly after, I took time to teach English in South Korea for 2 years and learned cultural diversity to better assist me with families and children of different backgrounds than myself. After Korea, I became a substitute teacher and fell in love with the environment of the special needs classroom. I became a behavioral therapist for children who have Autism in Long Beach. These children encouraged my journey to start graduate school as a social worker.
