About Helen

I have 10 years of experience. I've been involved with child care since being a teen, I have 2 years of experience being an assistant pre school teacher at Helen Gordan Child development center and 1 year at Friendly house being head pre school teacher. These experiences along side my education has made me well versed in conflict resolution, trauma informed care and making connections with children. I show up to conflict with gentleness and curiosity. When I use trauma informed care, I consider that the person ma be reacting to something or doing something out of a trauma response. I love connecting with the kids that I am working with so that we can all have fun. I make connection through creativity and play like painting, playing with cars and or drawing with sidewalk chalk. I am also available to help with Light Housekeeping, meal preparation, Laundry and homework.
