About Heather

I'd describe my personality as easy going, silly, cheerful I like working with kids because they love learning! I'm looking for a job that offers flexibility, provides structure for the children, observes learning by play. I started working with kids when I was 12 years old. I loved babysitting all the neighbor kids. I consider myself lucky to have stayed home with my kids while they were young. I also ran an in home licensed daycare for many years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family. We like camping, taking cruises, sporting events and board games. One thing you should know about me is I am the grandmother of 6 and I'm a RN. I have an adult daughter with special needs (Down syndrome.) My skills include age appropriate learning, discipline through reasoning, healthy choice meal planning.
