I have been teaching for 3 years in San Diego and babysitting/tutoring on and off for 4 years. Because I am a full time teacher, I prefer to tutor over Zoom or it can be added on to part time child care in your home. Being new to the profession, I do my best to create a safe space so that they feel comfortable leading our session through inquiry, I do not want to give in to the cycle where kids feel dumb for not understanding. Ultimately, my mantra is that learning can only take place if you don't understand but WANT to. I want to make learning fun again to create lifelong learners!
