Hi, my name is Haley and I'm a writer and English instructor with a BFA in Creative Writing & Literature. As the eldest daughter of a longtime elementary school teacher turned principal, working with kids is a family affair, and I've loved it since I was a teenager. I've spent many years working in children's educational spaces such as summer schools, afterschool programs, and environmental centers. My favorite part about working with kids is getting to experience the creative and silly ways their minds work. I love hearing them describe their best friends from school with "spaghetti hair" or talk back to their favorite characters on TV. I am a creative problem solver and a great communicator who adapts herself to best approach different situations. In my free time I enjoy knitting, crocheting, writing, and reading. I also love a good walk--I can spend hours strolling about with my music playing.
