About Gabriela

As someone with a strong belief in the power of words and the importance of confidence in reading and writing, I am excited to work with students to improve their understanding, connection, and success in English work. I am available to work with students from middle school to high school. I am a flexible, creative, and organized person who is driven by supporting your student to achieve their academic goals and feel capable in their English endeavors. I have 2 years of experience working at the Writing Center of Washington University in St. Louis, a top 20 university. As a Peer Tutor, I was part of a training seminar that focused on both the theory and practice of tutoring. I was part of numerous observation and practice sessions before I began my work as a tutor. I have also worked as a teacher for 6th Grade English. In this setting, I continued to learn and practice individualized learning for the 60 students in my courses.
