I also have personal experience caring for my mother who had dementia. Caring for my mom taught me that respect and patience are required when taking care of folks who have dementia/Alzheimer disease. I have volunteered at assisted living centers and can honestly say that I enjoy the time spent with elderly people, they have so much to teach us. I am a very calm person, am well organized and have excellent listening and time management skills.
