Hi! I'm Evelyn, and I've been a Reading & Writing Educator since 2018. I've specialized in teaching English Language Arts / ELA, since I enjoyed my English & History classes when I was a student. Now, I have the privilege of teaching those same subjects. Some of the highlights of my work have included: guiding my student to raise her ACT Reading score by 13 percentage points after just 10 tutoring hours, and leading another student to raise her French language level from the CEFR A1 to the A2 level after 8 hours of instruction. I take a "whole student" approach to tutoring: I make sure to build a positive connection with my students, because students learn best from instructors that they have positive connections with. My tutoring style is encouraging, patient, and, of course, results-oriented.
