About Erin

I'd describe my personality as patient, approachable, and adaptable. I like tutoring because it gives me an opportunity to help others build confidence in their abilities, share knowledge in a meaningful way, and witness the moment when challenging concepts click for students. I'm looking for a job that is fulfilling, allows me to make a positive impact, and provides opportunities for growth and learning. I started tutoring when I was in my second year in college. I tutored other college students in the Writing Learning Center. In my spare time, I like to write poetry, spend time with close friends, and listen to music. One thing you should know about me is that I prioritize building strong rapport with students to create a comfortable learning environment where they feel comfortable to ask questions and engage actively in material. My skills include patience and communication, adaptability to learning styles, and the ability to break complex subjects.
