About Erin

I LOVE teaching students to read and write effectively! I know there are a lot of students that do not feel comfortable with reading and writing, but when they feel encouraged and keep at it, it is a joy to see how proud they are of themselves! I have been teaching ELAR to fifth graders for two years now. A majority of the students I teach are far-below or below grade level. I offer them individualized instruction to best fit their needs and help them to grow in their academic and personal goals. I beleive in order for a student to want to learn, they must feel safe, welcome, and comfortable with their teacher. I make it my mission to be a teacher students feel safe and comfortable to be around. The more positive and enthusiastic a teacher is about their subject, the more a student will be willing to learn. Building positive relationships with my kiddos is a top priority for me! I'm certified to teach ELAR to grades 4-8 and have taken and passed the Science of Teaching Reading exam.
