About Emma

I am currently enrolled as a social work student at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In addition to social work courses, I have completed a minor in psychology with a focus on child development. I have almost two years of experience working with children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. I grew up in a large family and church community that was focused on youth programs. I have always known I wanted to work with children. Through my professional experience, I found a love for fostering growth through engaging with a child in their natural environment. I would describe myself as empathetic, reliable, and driven. I have experience working with children from infancy to the age of 10 and am looking to work within that age range.
