About Emily

I have grown into a person who has a great passion for learning, and I want to pass this great joy of mine on to as many people as I can. My mom was a teacher, so I have learned a lot of teaching skills from her, as well as helped students in her class and at after-school homework help from time to time. I have also helped many fellow students and my younger siblings with understanding and completing their classwork. In addition to my BS in Biology and B. A. in Theatre Arts, I have a certificate in American Sign from Pitt, and I graduated Summa Cum Laude. I graduated high school with a gpa of 4. 4177 and had an SAT score of 1460 (710 for EBRW, 750 for math). I'm a big believer in supporting a student with figuring things out on their own as much as possible as it helps them to better retain information in the long term and improve their problem-solving skills so they can find answers when their memory might fail them.
