About Emily

My name is Emily and I come form a close knit family of five. I recently graduated with my masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Cleveland State University and also have a BA in Psychology from Dominican University of California. I currently work at an alternative school providing counseling services to children aged 8-18 with diverse mental illnesses. My career goal is to work as a therapist for adolescents and young adults who are in remission of various chronic illnesses and are transitioning back to a "normal" life. For the past 15 years I have been babysitting for all ages ranging from 3 months to 13 years, worked a child care center, a personal and group tutor, a Registered Behavioral Technician, and a group counselor at a short term therapeutic residential program. I enjoy spending time with children from all age groups. I love to play board games, be active outside, bake and cook, and love to help with homework questions.
