About Ellie

Hello, my name is Ellie and I am 22 years old. I would describe myself as friendly, empathetic, and dependable. I went to school for nursing but ended up switching my major to psychology, so I have some education in both of those areas. I'm taking a break from school so I have an open schedule! My passion for this job comes from my grandpa. He died two years ago but his memory lives on. He started developing Alzheimer's disease towards the end of his life. It was a slow decline but eventually it got to the point where we had to put him in a home. I visited my grandpa almost every single day. We would share a meal, watch a show, and I would even help him shave. He was my best friend in the entire world and it broke my heart to see him suffer. Taking care of my grandpa and creating new memories even towards the end is something I will cherish forever. It showed me how hard but rewarding it is to be around older individuals. The end is just the beginning of something new!
