About Elizabeth

In addition to teaching students K-8 and coaching a variety of sports for 38 years, I've also been active in my church and community. To keep my own learning fresh, I've taught many grad classes dealing with Love and Logic principles and Sousa's model for How the Brain Learns. But the personal qualities that help children to be successful in school develop long before their school years begin. So for the past 8 years I've enjoyed helping toddlers and preschoolers develop the language, the interests and the attitudes that will help them face new challenges with confidence and optimism. I love helping children use the world around them to learn language, important life skills, and the fun of simple things! I believe in limiting screen time and helping children become problem-solvers in the real world.
