About Elaine

I am a kind and compassionate woman. I assisted with the care of my grandmother, mother and for two years I assisted with the care for an elderly gentleman. I am respectful and giving of my self comes very naturally to me. The care consisted of proper nutrition, administering medication, doctors appointments, reading and computer education. I was instrumental with his physical therapy and ensured that he would do the prescribed exercises daily. I ensured that he showered and helped him navigate dressing. He really wanted to be as independent as possible, so I would only assist before frustration set in! We would go out to lunch, the movies, I was his friend, and he was mine! I enjoyed listening to his life stories and I shared mine with him as well. I enjoy music, dancing, walking, going to the theater, museums, and book discussions. I will follow the lead of the person with whom I am assisting. I have so much more to share, so I hope to meet with you soon. Best, Elaine
