About Dolores

Working with seniors has been a passion for me most of my life. I have a college degree in Gerontology: the study of aging, from the University of Oregon. I've worked with older adults and people with disabilities in the social services arena as both a case manager and program manager. After working in this capacity for 20 years, I decided to work towards my Master's degree through a part-time distance learning program. While working towards my degree, I would like to work part-time assisting local seniors living in their homes. I have extensive experience as a case manager where I completed comprehensive need assessments, set up care plans, provider schedules and set up other services and make resource referrals. In addition, I've been a direct care giver for both of my grandparents after they were diagnosed as terminally ill. I provided meal prep, laundry care, housekeeping, bathing, dressing, transfer assistance, etc. until they passed away. I have extensive experience providing pet care including companionship, walking/exercise, feeding, grooming, training and clean up (yard & litter box). I have specialized skill working with difficult clients and/or family situations.
