About Danette

I have been an ER nurse for 20 years. I see seniors in conditions ranging from deplorable to excellent. I have always enjoyed working with seniors, and want to help make someone's life a little bit better. I'm looking for a job that helps a senior attain a good quality of life, along with them receiving the healthcare or rehabilitation that they need. I currently help an 83-year-old gentleman for 2 to 3 hours a day. I do light housekeeping and make sure he has a meal that's easy for him to heat up. He broke his hip last fall and I have been working with him to get him mobile again. We do water walking to increase his strength and work on his balance, and we also go for walks outside using his walker. I manage his medications and go with him to doctors appointments. I enjoy making his day better and helping him achieve some independence.
