Have grandchildren, volunteered hospice, companion care as well as caring for a sibling end of life transition. I have worked with medical care providers, done medication management, appointments in person and zoom, comfort care to transition. Cared for my own child through cancer and that required a high level of different types IV care as well as medication management. Humor while it is appropriate and kindness always. Light housekeeping, light meal prep or special occasions. A $25 hour minimum. Need to be out of town a few days I do check-ins on independent seniors as companion care, pick up priscriptions, take to doctor appointments, etc. Companionship can be a psychological game changer for isolated Seniors.
