About Cynthia

I'd describe my personality as caring, fun, patient I like tutoring because I enjoy helping others to learn and understand things that may seem difficult to them. I'm looking for a job that could lead to a second career when I decide to retire from full time school teaching. This is my first time tutoring outside of a school environment. I have taught private music lessons for woodwinds in the past for over 15 years. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family, read, walk or hike, and work outside in my yard when the weather is nice. One thing you should know about me is I am very patient with students with learning difficulties and I always let my students know exactly what is expected of them and what we will be accomplishing in a lesson. My skills include an ability to modify instruction to meet the needs of the student, my fun personality, and my understanding of the Wilson Language Program to assist with beginning readers and those with reading difficulties.
