Hi I'm Colleen! I'm a former special education teacher of 8 years with my Specialist Degree in Special Education. I taught and worked with kids with Autism & Intellectual Disabilities. Although my passion is working with individuals with disabilities, being a teacher required way too many hats to wear so I had to take a step back. After being a teacher for so long I'm confident to say I am energetic and organized but also love structure! I am CPR & AED certified and have training with feeding tubes, feeding, medication distribution, hygiene, dressing, & mobility care. I worked closely with our school OT, PT, and SLP and am comfortable with assisting with therapies if needed. I am a book lover and wouldn't call myself a cook but I can follow a recipe with precision. I love to clean and organize- everything has a place! Fresh air is the best medicine and I love taking walks.
