About Chrystal

I got my bachelors in neuroscience, and am currently pursuing my masters in Mind, Brain, and Education, as well as a mid-level science teaching certification. I am very passionate about children's minds and the amazing way the brain can grow and adapt. I want to peak students' interest and inspire them to learn! I have 6 months experience as a behavior therapist working with children with attention and behavior issues, as well as nonverbal children on the autistic spectrum. I also have 3 years experience working at a summer day camp for kids called Star Quest, where I would take a groups of about 7 children aged 6-17 on fun, imaginary sci-fi adventures through the woods. I'm just really fun and out there, like Ms. F from The Magic School Bus. I'm great at seeing where a child is at, finding out what their next step is, and helping them to take that next step. It's all about getting them interested and engaged so they are ready to learn and grow and make those new connections.
