About Christine

I graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in Molecular and Cell Biology and hold an MA from Columbia University in Microbiology & Immunology. Furthermore, I am currently a PhD candidate at Columbia with a focus on allergy research. I tutor in biology (specifically immunology and cell biology) and writing. For my writing tutoring, I have an expertise in editing graduate school personal essays or in applications for STEM-focused programs. My tutoring experience encompasses students from a variety of backgrounds, ranging from elementary school students to fellow PhD candidates. Previously, I have been a children's science museum teacher, a teaching assistant for advanced undergraduate immunology, and an English-as-a-second-language tutor. I also mentor more junior graduate students and undergraduate students in the lab in hands-on bench techniques. At the present, I am a teaching assistant for graduate-level immunology.
