About Abigail

I believe support in education can make all the difference. I saw it when helping kids in my neighborhood with homework, teaching high school students, and in my own education. Having personalized support based on the needs, learning and communication style, and personality of your student can help advance their interest and understanding. I have a PhD in Immunology from Columbia. I am well-versed in basic biology but may adapt quickly to whatever subjects your student needs. I have been tutoring and mentoring for over 10 years. I have 3 years of formal educational experience, serving as a student mentor to high school students interested in accessing scientific research. I also mentored and trained undergraduate students during my PhD. I find such joy in meeting a student where they are, understanding them, and helping them overcome the many obstacles that they may encounter.
