I have been a nanny for over 25 years. I am experienced in caring for children ranging in age from newborn to 12 years. When a child is at an early age, I strive to fill the need for socialization and building frienships. Library programs, park play dates, and baby and me classes programs help to introduce and build the ideas of teamwork, sharing, and friendship. Preparing lesson plans centered around fun theme weeks for the preschool set is my passion. I enjoy finding that "special something" in each child and bringing it to life. Using the child's major interest, for example: trains, dinosaurs, or fairies, I build on that to nurture a love of reading and writing or to encourage learning an everyday skill. When working with older children, I strive to encourage self-awareness and responsibility for ones own actions. Helping them to set meaningful priorities and develope coping strategies to succeed in life.

Chris worked for us from the time my oldest son was about 6 weeks old until both boys were well into middle school. (They are now in 10th and 12th grade). She is precious to our family; I don't know how we could have done it without her. She is 100% dedicated, 100% reliable, incredibly compassionate and incredibly creative. She far exceeded expectations in so many ways. She went above-and-beyond to expose the children to new things, build their social skills and confidence, and stimulate them at every stage of development. She has a wonderful intuition for children, but also for parents (and grandparents!); and is readily adaptive to the needs of the family.
