About Christie

Hi! I have always had a passion for working with small children ignited early on when I first became an Auntie. That passion led me to reach out and land my favorite role of being a lead preschool teacher at an outdoor school. Encouraging and teaching children about nature, and fostering a love in them for the outdoors from a young age gave me such satisfaction in my work! After some time spent traveling and a career shift of becoming a mother myself this past year, I'd love to make myself available to teach and care for a child alongside my own. My little one is 13 months old and loves meeting new kids and getting a chance to socialize. We practice Montessori principles to encourage independence. I am a part time substitute at the Montessori Schools here locally. We also prioritize everyday reading, trips to the park, healthy organic meals and snacks, and soaking in as much fresh air and sunshine as possible in our everyday routine.
