I like tutoring because the individualized instruction I can give a child makes all the difference to both of us. I'm looking for a job that allows me the freedom and flexibility to use the skills I know on assessing them, and if able, I like to go above and beyond within the subject(s). Children will rise to the level of instruction provided. I started tutoring when I retired from public education. I've been tutoring the same child for the last 5 years and off and on with others. One thing you should know about me is that I am very confident in my teaching ability. I have a proven track record of success with Elementary level students, and 4th grade is my specialty. My skills include assessment (test prep), math, and science.
