About Charlotte

I taught 8th and 10th grade English at a small boarding school from 2017-2020, and also directed school plays. This included extensive one on one work between myself and my students. As an English teacher, I met with students for one on one writers conferences, as well as extra help. As the theater director, I coached students individually for memorization, understanding, and technique. I proctored dormitory study hall, so on a bi-weekly basis I kept time, space, and technology boundaries in place, and became an expert at turning a residential environment into a space for learning. Students often sought my help during study hall asking questions and seeking edits. I am not only an effective educator in core curricular subjects, but am also confident, creative, and patient as a result of my work directing more than 12 theatrical productions. I distinguish myself as a warm, friendly and encouraging educator, comfortable supporting students of all ages and backgrounds.
