About Garrett

Hi there! My name is Garrett W, and I am a 3rd-year student at UC Berkeley studying History and Education. I have multiple years of experience working in and out of classrooms teaching students K-12. I pride myself on my ability to communicate and break down concepts into understandable pieces. I have tutored for English, History, Math, and Science in Elementary and Middle schools, have tutored several AP English and Social Studies courses in High School. My specialties are Reading, Writing, Literature, and Social Studies. I am comfortable tutoring on these up through any grade level (excluding post-graduate work). I can also help with Math and Science, though only through 8th grade. I always offer a no-charge first meeting so that we can set goals and make sure that it's a good fit. My standard rate after that is $25 an hour.
