About Carmen

I have a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a BA in Child Development from California State University, Northridge. I currently work as a 3rd grade teacher at Camino Nuevo Charter. I have worked as a preschool teacher, interned at a Head Start facility, and as a TA for Granada Hills Charter elementary. I believe that children are born with a yearn to learn. They are naturally curious individuals who are filled with many wonderful questions and ideas. I want to expand those ideas by using positive reinforcement and creating collaborative learning experiences. I hope the children in my care feel that learning is an enjoyable and collaborative journey that is continuous throughout their life. I hope they can see that their environment is as valuable to their learning as is their thoughts. Lastly, I would like the children and families in my care to feel valued and appreciated in this collaborative learning experience.
