About Calicima

I have worked with children my whole life but professionally for 8 years. Most recently I was a Nanny to a wonderful family with three kids. During that time I successfully managed the household and childcare while keeping up with each child's schedule. Prior to that I was the lead 4-year-old and 3-year-old teacher before I then became the assistant director of a small private preschool. In that time I created my own weekly curriculum that included language, math, science, art and free play such as dress up, blocks, balancing exercises etc. to aid in the development of large motor skills. I also included other activities like sensory bins to aid in the development of fine motor skills. My curriculum was based around getting each and every child in my class prepared for the next step both physically and mentally. I love working with children 1-6 years of age. I am a very clean and artistic person with a passion for "high-functioning" or "high-energy" children.
