About Ruth

Hi! My name is Shelsie, and I'm a senior at Harvard College, graduating in May. I'm currently looking for nannying, babysitting, and tutoring jobs for this summer. I have extensive experience working with children of all ages. In high school, I was a camp counselor for kids ages 6 through 12. In the summer of 2022, I worked as a summer teacher and counselor for Harvard's PBHA Summer Urban Program (SUP). I managed a classroom of 10 11-year-olds, developing and teaching my own curriculum in American government and 4th-grade math, while also leading fun activities. My fellow counselors and I worked together as a team, often helping care for each other's groups of kids, ranging in age from 5 to 13. Through this program, I also received CPR and first aid training. I genuinely love working with kids. I have a niece and nephew whom I care for regularly, so I'm no stranger to keeping up with playful energy! Looking forward to connecting with you and your family!
