I became a caretaker out of necessity. first my great-grandfather who was 97 at the time came to a point where he needed 24-hour care my great aunt his daughter and my great-grandmother were taking care of him and for the last year and a half of his life I came in to help and would work 10 hours a day 7 days a week. then my mother was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer and I took care of her until the time that she passed away. then my great-grandmother was in need of care after that so I took care of her for another 2 years all in total this was 5 years of caretaking. it was not a field I intended to become a part of but I learned a lot and one thing I found out was I'm very good at it.
