Updated July 2025 I have cared for children for nearly 40 years. I worked in day care as a preschool teacher as well as toddler head teacher. I also held the title of Developmental Educator for the Early Intervention Program at Child Guidance Clinic, servicing families and children ages 0-3. In 1999, I began working in the public schools as a Montessori Preschool/K teacher. Seven years later I taught special needs children from ages 3-6. I left a full time teaching job in 2014 to care for my mother. I later subbed in surrounding public schools until December 2016. Then I became a nanny for several years. Since 2021, I have been working as a Montessori toddler teacher in MA. I currently need to leave the school to be close to my daughter in Astoria and to my grandson in Brooklyn.

Met Barbara and spent time talking and getting to know each other. She is absolutely lovely, has a positive attitude, and clearly adores & knows children! I feel comfortable with her caring for my son, when the need arises.
