About Azeya

I have 8 years of child care experience and I am currently pursuing my CPR certification. I hold an educational background in psychology. My diverse experience includes roles at the Brooklyn Children's Museum, Brooklyn Adventures Club summer camp, and as an art teacher for DOE schools. As an artist, I integrate visual art, music, dance, writing, and STEM activities into my child care approach to foster creativity and development in children. I started working with kids when I was 19 years old. My first experience challenged my preconceived biases about children and their capabilities. In my spare time, I enjoy engaging in visual art, as well as incorporating movement into my life through martial arts and rock climbing. One thing you should know about me is that I have worked with court-involved young people, ages 11-25, for the past several years. I am adept at assessing needs, facilitating development, and communication.
