About Atusa
Experience: 10 yrs
As a UC Berkeley graduate with a BA in Psychology, I have been successfully working with students of all ages and developmental backgrounds since 2003. I teach core subjects like Math, Science, Reading, Writing and Comprehension as well essential critical thinking and executive functioning skills which are prerequisites for success in higher education. I also prepare students for standardized tests like PSAT, SAT, ACT, HSPT, ISEE and coach them throughout their admissions process. My expertise lies in understanding performance-related issues and offering students effective strategies to help reduce anxiety, build confidence and maintain an overall positive attitude around their education. I am also Lindamood-Bell trained so I have extensive experience teaching literacy and reading comprehension to a wide variety of students including those with special needs like Dyslexia and ADD.

We love Atusa. Our 4-year-old is learning English as a second language and Atusa was very professional and approached things in a methodical fashion; at the same time, she was incredibly warm to N. N. had a lot of fun working with Atusa and she still says she misses her. We were just saying we wish she would move to Amsterdam with us!
