I'd describe my personality as humorous, patient, and understanding. I like tutoring because as someone who has had to overcome learning difficulties, I like to help others reach a moment of understanding. The moments where I had someone to guide me through things I couldn't grasp on my own were impactful and I hope to bring that to others. I'm looking for a job that not only gives me the opportunity to help others but also challenges my own understanding and perspective. I started tutoring when I entered the learning assistant program at the college I currently attend. I've helped my peers through an active learning style and guiding them through tough concepts. In my spare time, I like to hike, garden, or write. One thing you should know about me is I have ADHD and understand the difficulties that come with it. My skills include active learning in mathematics and physics, learning demonstrations, and writing.
