About Amy

I'd describe my personality as energetic, warm, encouraging I like tutoring because I love instilling a love of learning in students. I believe that it is possible to help students through all learning difficulties. I'm looking for a job that gives me the opportunity to use my skills to help students learn and overcome roadblocks in their educational journey. I started tutoring when I accepted a position with Hampton City Schools. My first job with Hampton City Schools (HCS) was as an early reading intervention assistant. In this position, I had the opportunity to use small group sessions as well as one on one sessions to help students conquer reading hurdles.. In my spare time, I like to read, volunteer with my church and hike in the mountains as often as possible. One thing you should know about me is that I am firm and require students to work. But believe that learning should also be fun.
