I understand I may be an untraditional nanny, but I've held a dream for several years that after retiring from my career as an HR professional, that I want to be a nanny. I love babies/children, raised my daughter as a sole parent after her father died when she was a baby. I believe in reading, learning activities ideally that feel like play, exploring the outdoors and playgrounds (as age-appropriate), going for walks, being silly, and did I mention reading? As a parent, I have experience, wisdom, common sense, compassion, and most of all, the understanding that your child is -everything- to you. And you want the best. I get that, as my daughter is my world. She is happy, thriving, and successful - and currently pursuing her 3rd degree. I would follow the lead of the parents in terms of philosophy. I'm easygoing, but energetic, have a can-do attitude and am seeking long term commitments. The more pets the households has, the better! I'm very much looking forward to my next chapter.
