About Amirah

Hi, I'm Amira! As the oldest of four siblings, caregiving has always been a natural part of my life. At the age of 16, I began officially watching over my siblings and other children in my neighborhood. I would describe myself as easygoing and patient. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in child advocacy, and I'm passionate about nurturing children during their early developmental years. I have hands-on experience working with infants and toddlers, and I've also volunteered with a local after-school program for 1st graders (ages 7-8), where I taught my own class, assisting with homework, playtime, and snack preparation. Additionally, I've mentored young girls aged 9-13, helping them navigate the transition from elementary to middle school during my time in college . I look forward to assisting families by caring for children, helping with homework, and taking care of light housework and meal preparation.
