More than homework help, I provide full-service virtual or in-person teaching. In the first session, I begin with an assessment of present levels of skills and establish academic goals. The following sessions are full of student-specific strategies to help your child attain measurable progress toward the academic goals. Every 6-9 weeks I will reassess your child to confirm that progress toward the goals has been made. I follow research-based best practices in all of my instruction. My philosophy is not to teach kids "what" to think, but "how" to think. I aim for high-level cognitive processing of information. I can also coordinate with specialists and your child's teachers at school. I have been a teacher and private tutor for 7 years. I have worked with students ages 3-Adult with a variety of talents and special needs. I have a degree in Speech & Hearing Science from Arizona State University as well as 5 semesters of professional actor training from The Julliard School NYC, NY.
