About Amanda

I've always had a passion for children and have been a teacher for 8 years. I currently teach 4th grade in Long Beach Unified School District. Prior to teaching my experience as a nanny for over 10 years has solidified my desire to foster their growth and development. I am also a mom to a 7-year-old boy who keeps me on my toes! As a caregiver, I'm patient, creative, and friendly. I believe in open communication with parents. I follow their lead when it comes to household rules and enjoy playing a variety of games with children, from educational games that promote learning to outdoor sports and physical games. I have a car, am comfortable with pets, and my English language skills allow me to communicate effectively with parents. I look forward to meeting you and your family and providing a reliable and nurturing childcare option for you. My availability right now will be more limited due to school, but will open up significantly during summer time!
