About Amanda

Hi, I am certified in ECE. I have a very strong interest in this job. With the experience working at both the elementary school and at a child/daycare center, as well as in activities outside of the classroom, I have a diverse background with much to offer. My first classroom teaching experience was, when I was taking Early Childhood Education at Arlington Career Center, at an elementary school which was located in front of my school. I went there for two years during high school. In between these years, I went also to the day/childcare center, which was located in the same building where I was taking ECE classes, to assist teachers at the childcare center during work hours. After a year, on September 2013, I started to work doe Arlington Extended Day Program as an Extended Day Child Care Aide with Arlington Public Schools. As a Child Care Aide, I help children with their homework, supervise classroom and playground activities; direct students into safe activities and etc.
