About Allison

I have worked at the local animal shelter for the last 6 years on and off, leaving only for school. I earned at bachelors from Flagler College in Psychology. In the following years I was a student at America's Teaching Zoo for 2 years, graduating in 2010 with an associates degree in Exotic Animal Training and Management, Animal Behavior, and Wildlife Education. Upon graduation I have gained experience working in a vet's office. I returned to work and volunteer at my local shelter, and then took a position with a Dog Training based in Washington, D.C. Through the years I have worked with all different types of animals from exotic (ex. Water Buffalo, monkeys, parrots, reptiles, and non-domestic cats) to domestic (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc.). Animals and education are 2 of my biggest passions in life.
