About Alisa

I am a deaf instructor with more than 20 years of experience working with deaf and hearing students. I hold a bachelor's degree from Gallaudet University, the world's only liberal arts college for deaf individuals. I also homeschooled three hearing girls full-time for over 20 years through their high school graduation. My oldest has a bachelor's degree in animal science from Fresno State University, with an emphasis in equestrian studies. My middle daughter has an associate degree and is pursuing ASL interpreting certification. My youngest is continuing her education in physics engineering and is pursuing her goal of obtaining a Ph. D. in this field. I have extensive knowledge of curriculum programs that work for each child based on their learning style. I believe that a curriculum should be fun and engaging while developing children's cognitive and coordination skills.
